Mishawaka Right-of-Way, Self-Evaluation & Transition Plan

DLZ evaluated 241 miles of sidewalks, over 3800 curb ramps, and on-street parking within the public ROW in the city of Mishawaka, Indiana. This evaluation was a part of a phased ADA ROW Self-Evaluation & Transition Plan.

DLZ had prepared an earlier Transition Plan for non-ROW facilities. They performed all ROW field evaluations, prepared an analysis of compliance included in the Transition Plan, and developed estimated costs and priority of corrective action for non-compliant facilities. DLZ utilized college interns to collect most of the field data to lower the cost for the client and provided the necessary technical and safety training.
