Summit County Animal Control Facility
As lead Architect and Engineer, DLZ provided all architectural, civil, structural, mechanical and electrical design and engineering services for the new facility. DLZ prepared design documents indicating the programmatic needs for the facility. These included areas for intake; owner relinquished animals; quarantine areas; adoption kennels; adoption desk and ancillary support including a veterinary clinic, administration zone and support.
The program also included the incorporation of sustainable building principles into the facility design, state-of-the-art mechanical systems, sound masking principles, and highly durable finishes. DLZ provided full contract document and construction administration services.
