DLZ is pleased to announce the certification of its materials testing laboratory in Burns Harbor, Indiana. The certification expands DLZ’s capabilities to include a range of materials testing and analysis services in the greater Chicagoland area and restores the total number of laboratories in the Midwest to four including our Columbus, Ohio, Bridgeville, Pennsylvania, and Melvindale, Michigan offices. DLZ Material Testing Group Manager Zachary Dean, P.E. relocated to the Burns Harbor office to manage the materials testing operations. Mr. Dean has over 13 years of experience on a variety of geotechnical, structural, and construction-related projects.

All four of our construction materials laboratories perform a full range of in-situ and laboratory analytical services for the construction testing of soils, aggregates, rock, asphalt, concrete, plastics, and Sprayed Fire-Resistive Materials (SFRM). Our laboratories feature state-of-the-art facilities designed for high-volume testing as well as a mobile laboratory that can be deployed to test materials on-site.
