DLZ is pleased to announce that Christine Petro has joined the firm as an Architect/Senior Project Manager. Christine is a Registered Architect in Ohio and Senior Project Manager in DLZ’s Akron, Ohio office responsible for managing large and complex multi-discipline projects from planning and procurement through start-up and construction.
Christine brings over 20 years of professional experience in the field of Architecture and Project Management – including design, contract document preparation, specifications writing, bidding and negotiation and contract administration from ground-breaking through final punch list. As a design professional, her experience includes landscape design, interior design, quality control of office standards, building materials research and evaluation, project budgeting, and creation of and subsequent implementation of office standards, and IT administration.
Formerly the Section Chief of the Division of Architecture and Site Development with the City of Cleveland, Christine performed the duties of Owner’s Representative and administrative direction for the City of Cleveland on Capital Improvement projects. She administered contracts for large scale projects, including the $6.5 million restoration of historic League Park in Cleveland’s near east side and the construction of the $11 million new recreation facility in the Collinwood neighborhood of the City of Cleveland, Ohio, which achieved L.E.E.D. “Gold” Certification.
Christine is a great addition to DLZ’s growing architectural division and her extensive experience in working with architects, landscape architects and engineers on public sector projects that vary in complexity, scope and budget, demonstrates a background rich in diversity and validated by proven results.
