DLZ Installs Solar Panels at Firm’s Headquarters

DLZ is committed to green renewable energy and has been for quite some time. We promote clean energy technologies including hydropower, hydrokinetic technology, solar, the development of green hydrogen production plants, and wind. Our team understands and values the environmental impact and long-term cost savings transitioning to clean energy offers. That is what led DLZ to invest $640,000 to install solar panels on two of our Columbus, Ohio facilities. DLZ contracted Melink Solar to install the solar panels on our 33,500 sq ft office building and a 3,900 sq ft garage that houses our drilling operations.

How the Solar System Impacts DLZ

  • More than 50% of the office and drilling building’s energy needs provided with clean energy.
  • Over 30 years, the solar systems will avoid using 10.5 million kWh of grid power, or the equivalent of CO2 emissions from 1,450 homes’ electricity use for one year. It is also equivalent to carbon sequestered by 8,890 acres of U.S. forests in one year.
  • Electric bill savings of $1.28 million over 30 years.

Our Commitment to a Sustainable Future

We are committed to a sustainable future and innovative technologies that evolve to support renewable energy. In fact, DLZ plans to replace its corporate fleet of cars and pickup trucks with hydrogen fueled vehicles and install the first hydrogen refueling station and mini hydrogen processing plant by a private company in the State of Ohio right on our Columbus campus.
