It was great to be a part of the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the new Summit County Health District’s Fairway Center Office Building on November 21, 2014. DLZ lead the interior renovation design and provided mechanical and electrical engineering on this 80,000 square-foot facility in Akron, Ohio.

The Fairway Center facility will be home to the health department’s administrative offices, birth and death records, drug and alcohol counseling, environmental health services, the communicable disease division, laboratory services, adult protective services, and public health nurses and a clinic, which includes a new sliding-scale dental office, according to Summit County Assistant Health Commissioner Donna Skoda.
