Beiger Elementary School

DLZ was commissioned by the School City of Mishawaka to construct Beiger Elementary. The new school is housed on two floor levels and includes 26 general classrooms, two technology labs, art, music and science classrooms, dining and kitchen spaces, a tiered little theater, a centralized media center, and a generously sized gymnasium.

The overall building organization provides the opportunity to promote community use. The new school was constructed immediately east of the existing school and designed to create a new school image within the traditional context of the surrounding community.
