Connect Multigenerational Recreation Activities Center

West Bloomfield Parks contracted DLZ to provide Architectural and Engineering design services for the new Connect Multigenerational Recreation Activities Center.  Following an extensive Needs Assessment process with stakeholders, the project team developed conceptual plans for a new 30,000 square feet expansion of the existing facility.

The program includes dedicated space for a new Senior Center, Nature Center, and multi-generational Activities Center.  The project was conceived as a bridge connecting the existing facility to the Township Library on the north end of the campus.  The building nestles into an existing slope and nature trail system and provides views of the wetlands to the west.
