Fleet Management Facility

This project involved the consolidation of numerous satellite operations throughout the City of Columbus into a 150,000-sq.-foot, single-floor facility. The building is used for vehicle maintenance operations. Vehicles serviced at the facility include automobiles, dump trucks, graders, backhoes, refuse collection trucks, street sweepers, mowers, fire trucks, motorcycles, and boats, as well as smaller gasoline-engine equipment.

The Police Department’s Motorcycle Division headquarters is at this new facility as is the Fire Department’s Maintenance 34. Additional functions (spaces) within the facility  include office area, public meeting/training facilities, various mechanical repair shops, tire and body shops,  parts storage, locker rooms, lunch room, steam cleaning bay, fueling facilities and other vehicle-related areas.
