Jackson Pike Wastewater Treatment Plant Sludge Handling and Dewatering Improvements

The city of Columbus, Division of Sewerage and Drainage, retained DLZ to provide basis of design, design, and construction services for new sludge dewatering facilities at the Jackson Pike Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Phase 1 of this three-phase project included a comprehensive investigation of available existing documentation, verification of as-built conditions, determination of the location of existing major equipment and piping, and preliminary design of the new facilities.

Phase 2 of the project involved the preparation of construction contract documents, including specifications and drawings, in accordance with the Division of Sewerage and Drainage’s standards and guidelines.

During Phase 3, DLZ provided construction support services for the construction and implementation of the new sludge handling and dewatering systems and equipment designed in Phase 2.
