West Bloomfield Township Department of Public Works and Water Billing Department

DLZ provided a comprehensive addition and renovation scope for civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical systems expanding the existing Township facility with 2,400 and 1,100 square foot additions as well as renovating the interior of the existing 4,800 square foot department in West Bloomfield Township, Michigan.

The project included the following notable functions:

• Provided offices for relocating the Water Billing Department, with transaction counters and workstations.
• Provided training rooms, break areas, locker rooms, and toilet facilities for the Sewer Division along with the renovation of the existing offices.
• Provided design and construction administration services, including a value engineering effort to adjust to pandemic cost increases.

Exterior cladding of brick and metal panel allow the additions to stand out and bring a contemporary feel while still feeling unified and connected to the 50-year-old existing structure.
