Storm Water/ Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO)
DLZ develops local and regional stormwater management plans and designs to effectively control and convey stormwater runoff. Our engineers are experienced at utilizing source control methods where practical to reduce the impacts of stormwater runoff. These methods may include retention basins, detention basins, infiltration practices, and various Best Management Practices (BMPs). Often, source control methods require implementation with other traditional stormwater conveyance techniques such as storm sewers, channels, and pumping stations. Some of our services include:
- Design and inspection of stormwater management infrastructure
- Hydrologic/hydraulic modeling of small systems and large networks
- Master planning and alternative analysis
- Desktop and field investigations
- Cost estimating and capital improvements planning
- Public education and outreach
- Regulatory compliance
- National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permitting
- Compliance monitoring and subdivision plan review
- Ordinance development and review
- Consultation to Boards and Commissions
- Assisting local municipal staff with day-to-day stormwater management activities
