DLZ received a 2018 Engineering Excellence Honor Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Indiana for the Olive Street and Sample Street Road Reconstruction and Bridge Rehabilitation project in South Bend, Indiana.

ACEC Indiana recognizes engineering achievements, which demonstrate the highest degree of merit and ingenuity, by Indiana consulting engineering firms.

The Olive/Sample Road and Bridge Reconstruction project included replacing the existing traffic signal with a modern roundabout to improve traffic flow, replacing the deck and railing, adding raised sidewalks for both bridges, pavement replacement and the upgrading of curb, sidewalks, ADA accessible path, etc.
