ColumBus Transit System Public ROW Evaluation

DLZ evaluated the ColumBus transit system within the public ROW in the city of Columbus, Indiana. The evaluation consisted of 245 miles of sidewalks, over 3000 curb ramps, pedestrian pushbuttons, and bus stops and bus shelters served by ColumBus Transit.

DLZ evaluated the data, prepared an analysis of compliance, and developed estimated costs and priority of corrective action for non-compliant facilities. Most of the data was provided to the city as shapefiles for direct import into the city’s GIS system. Data spreadsheets will allow the city to track progress as facilities are improved to meet ADA guidelines.
