Overview
The project involved the development of a comprehensive multi-building complex designed to support the County’s operational needs. The new facility includes a Maintenance Building, Recycling Center, Transfer Building, Fueling Center, and multiple Storage Buildings, creating a centralized hub for essential services.

Process
DLZ worked with an existing site that housed the County’s original maintenance building, which had been in service for over 60 years.
Rather than demolishing the historic structure, the design strategically incorporated it into the new layout, repurposing it as a dedicated storage facility. This approach preserved valuable resources while optimizing functionality.
The site plan was carefully developed to accommodate five newly constructed buildings, ensuring efficient traffic flow, accessibility, and compliance with modern standards. Additionally, the complex features a state-of-the-art fueling facility that serves all County departments, improving operational efficiency and reducing downtime for fleet vehicles.
