Bridge Beautification

Bridges are infrastructure, but they’re also landmarks. DLZ develops aesthetic enhancements including monuments, custom railings, overlooks, lighting, and architectural detailing that elevate the user experience and make bridges memorable features of the built environment. 3-D modeling supports the design process, allowing teams to study form, materials, visibility, and constructability before construction begins.

Wayfinding

Clear, well-designed wayfinding does more than direct traffic — it reinforces identity. DLZ develops post-and-panel and pylon signage systems for campuses and large sites, working with signage vendors to create custom signs, branding, materials, and detailing that produce a cohesive user experience throughout.

Community Gateways

First impressions shape lasting perceptions. DLZ designs signature gateway features, including large-scale highway monuments, downtown streetscape arches, stand-alone monument signs, and related identity elements, that create a memorable sense of arrival and reinforce what makes a community distinctive.

Site Signage

Effective site signage balances function and identity. DLZ develops monument, interpretive, post-and-panel, and pylon signage for project sites, along with parking, circulation, directional, and identification systems. Capabilities include LED display panels, backlit lettering, and internally illuminated signs that enhance visibility and reinforce branding.

Custom Masonry Features

Well-crafted masonry elements define a space. DLZ designs custom columns, stone bench monoliths, seat walls, retaining walls, laser-etched granite features, specialty lighting, and custom metal logos that create distinctive site character and elevate the overall aesthetic experience.

Memorials

Memorials require a different kind of design, one that honors sacrifice, invites reflection, and creates space for community remembrance. DLZ designs police, fallen officer, fire, and EMS memorials in civic spaces, cemeteries, and public safety facilities, thoughtfully integrating site features, custom masonry, specialty lighting, and commemorative elements into spaces that endure.
