Franklin County Breaks Ground on New Corrections Center

The Franklin County Board of Commissioners and Franklin County Sheriff’s Office broke ground on the new Franklin County Corrections Center scheduled to open late 2019. DLZ was selected by the Franklin County, Ohio Commissioners to design this 430,000 square-foot facility on the west side of Columbus.

With an emphasis on redefining rehabilitation and incorporating more space for programming and mental health treatment, the new facility incorporates the latest jail design philosophies and will be built to utilize the Direct Supervision model of inmate supervision. Read more
