Charles H. Murphy, P.S.

DLZ Survey and Right-of-Way Division Manager, Chuck Murphy has been appointed to lead DLZ’s Toledo, Ohio office. Murphy has more than 44 years of experience in the survey industry and 21 years in right-of-way (ROW) plan development and acquisition. DLZ has served the Toledo and Northwest Ohio area for many years and as DLZ’s Ohio Survey and ROW Division Manager for 23 years, Murphy brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the area.

Murphy joined DLZ in 1984 and has managed several projects throughout Ohio for state, county and city agencies. He has managed major task order contracts for the Ohio Department of Transporation, NiSource – Columbia Gas of Ohio and the Huntington District, United States Army Corps of Engineers. He has provided services for all of the Ohio Department of Transportation’s twelve districts, United States Department of Agriculture and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. He was Quality Control manager of such projects as the Ohio Rail Development Commissions inventory of 6,300 at-grade, railroad-roadway intersections throughout the state. He has also managed the survey/ROW component of transportation projects consisting of 11 miles in length, ROW plan sets in excess of 100 sheets, and 230 legal descriptions.

Murphy’s appointment to lead the Toledo office better positions DLZ to compete on opportunities in Northwest Ohio and surrounding areas.
