Stand Up for Transportation

?????Please join DLZ on April 9, 2015 as we, along with many American cities, suburbs, and rural communities across the nation will celebrate Stand Up for Transportation Day, emphasizing the need for a long-term, sustainable funding mechanism for transportation infrastructure. Stand Up for Transportation Day will be a day for national education and outreach to the public and our elected officials.

Media events around the country will focus on the importance of a reliable federal transportation bill to fund road, bridge and transit improvements and support economic development. The current federal surface transportation law, Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21), is set to expire on May 31, 2015.

Unite with others to send the message to Congress that transportation infrastructure is vital to our economic growth and quality of life. Urge our elected officials to enact a long lasting surface transportation bill that provides dedicated funding for rehabilitating our aging roads, bridges and transit facilities.
