DLZ completed the City of Portage new Youth Sports Complex Master Plan in April 2026, creating a vision for a premier community and tournament-level sports destination.

The master plan includes a multi-field baseball complex with tee-ball, Cal Ripken and Babe Ruth fields centered around a new press box/concessions facility, along with batting cages, a Pop Warner football field, basketball courts, playground, picnic shelters, maintenance facilities, and more than 450 parking spaces.
Additional improvements include gateway entrances, internal pedestrian pathways, landscaping, stormwater detention facilities, and community gathering spaces.
The plan provides a phased implementation strategy that will enhance recreational opportunities for local residents while supporting regional youth sports tournaments and community events.
