This 180 acre, 50-year-old facility located near New York City presented several challenges in reducing truck speeds and making pedestrian walkways more visible. The Client had an objective of providing a workable solution in time for the 2025 peak holiday delivery season, just three months away from the start of engagement. Concept designs were submitted and approved in four weeks and construction began immediately.
DLZ defined the scope and managed construction. The DLZ site team coordinated logistics with the USPS traffic team to ensure that facility operations were not hindered during the eight (8) week installation phase. DLZ worked closely with USPS leaders in construction, maintenance, and transportation to improve designs in situ and deliver the most effective traffic control elements.
