DLZ provided professional design services for the City of Portage Fire Station No. 3.
Process
The fire station was developed through careful planning and work sessions with the city administrators, the fire chief and the fire fighters, and responds directly to the project goals and objectives.
Results
The new fire station is 14,600 SF of new construction on two floor levels within a 1.3-acre parcel of land.
The facility includes four drive-through apparatus bays, fitness room, kitchen, day room, 12 private sleeping quarters, locker rooms, and associated support space. The facility also includes public restroom facilities that serve the adjacent public performance venue.
