Founders Square

Founders Square is a community park enclosed by the urban street grid which defines its space. It is reminiscent of parks designed during America’s City Beautiful period exhibiting loosely curved walks, expansive lawn, ornamental picket fencing and masonry columns, accent lighting and landscape plantings, which supplement its existing mature tree canopy.

The 2-1/2 acre park features a children’s Aquatic Spray Pad, a brick and masonry Service Building which houses family restrooms and mechanical utilities. The park’s four quadrants serve as pedestrian nodes, each defined with a large brick and masonry column, bench seating and detailed landscape plantings. Monumental brick and masonry signs are located on axis with Main Street, approaching from the east and west.

Founders Square is an ideal, centrally located community space suitable for art fairs, farmer’s market and seasonal festivals, in addition to passive family gathering and recreation.
