DLZ awarded by City of Columbus’ GreenSpotLight for Sustainability

DLZ is honored to receive the City of Columbus’ annual GreenSpotLight award. The award recognizes firms for their outstanding sustainability practices. The GreenSpot Program began in 2008 to inspire, educate and recognize those in our community who take steps to protect our environment.

DLZ won the award in the large business category. The medium and small organizations’ awards were presented to Accurate IT and CeraNet.

Commenting on the awards, Columbus Mayor Andrew J. Ginther said, “In addition to strong, sustainable neighborhoods, we as a city want to work with our great partners in business and industry to lift sustainability as a core priority. The GreenSpotLight Award winners model sustainability in their operations and practices.”

The member organizations use the MyGreenSpot online tool to adopt and track their sustainability successes in water and energy conservation, waste reduction, green transportation, and educational outreach.

Columbus City Council member Emmanuel Remy, chair of the Council Environment Committee, recognized these businesses for their success. “Sustainability and a successful business go hand in hand. The GreenSpotLight winners are an example of what’s possible when sustainability is embraced,” Remy said.

DLZ congratulates all the firms that the City of Columbus recognizes under the GreenSpotLight awards for their valuable contributions to our community!
